She didn’t say anything as he crashed to the ground, only breathing out a sigh of relief. She had upheld her end of the deal, surprising as it was- she had fought through the tournament, made it to the finals, and had even defeated him.

Yeah. Today was a good day.

Hikari brushed off her pants, ignoring the soreness in her body- she was a soldier, dammit, she had worse happen to her anyway. She gave a small smirk as she glanced down to Jin’s unconscious form, only to tap the communicator headset in her right ear with two fingers. “Hey, Lars, can you hear me? …it’s over. Jin’s knocked out, took longer than I expected, but…yeah. It’s…finally over.”

“Good to hear. You alright?”

“I’m fine, just…surprised, I guess.” Her left hand clenched around a small object- a pendant, to be precise. To be even more specific, a pendant that belonged to Kazumi. It was a keepsake that Hikari had on her at all times, to remind her of why she was doing what she was. She opened her hand, looking down at it with a small, sad smile. “…I did it, Kazu-chan. Neechan saved the day.”

“…Hikari?”

She blinked, shaking her head. “I-it’s nothing. Don’t worry about it. How long until you guys can get in here, anyway?” She asked, quickly recovering.

“…We can move in immediately. Can you keep an eye on Jin until then?”

“Yup, it’s the least I can do. Thanks, Lars.” She lowered her hand, looking back to Jin’s unconscious form. “…You are the biggest idiot I have ever met, Kazama. And I’ve met my fair share of idiots.” She shook her head, snorting. All that trouble…if it weren’t for the fact that he was already unconscious, she would’ve tried knocking him out again. Hikari turned, hand at hip as she pondered her next move. She could go try and see if the others would need any help in subduing the remaining Tekken Force members, but she did promise Lars she’d keep an eye on Jin in case he woke up. …well, doesn’t mean I can’t do a bit of exploring in this room, at least.

But what she felt next almost made her fall to the floor from the pressure. The energy she felt- it couldn’t be coming from- She turned, eyes widened. A pillar of energy was surrounding Jin’s body at this point, and it just reeked of something…unnatural. Evil was probably a better word for it, now that she thought about it.

“What the hell-?!” The next moment, she could feel something hard driving into her left shoulder, piercing both her shirt and the skin. She could feel the blood coming up from the wound, and she bit back a cry, screwing her eyes shut and trying to block out the pain. But in doing so, she had unwittingly dropped the pendant.

She could feel the heat building up in her body as she glared up at her attacker, her lips drawn back in a wordless snarl. But what she saw in front of her was something she hadn’t even begun to think about when it came to Jin.

His eyes had shifted colors, tattoos were appearing on his body, and was that a pair of horns coming out of his head? She blinked a few times, trying to keep conscious as she stared. Black feathers were flying everywhere as Devil Jin was attempting to claw further into her shoulder, something between a grin and a snarl crossing his features.

“Goddamn…get OFF!” Hikari grit her teeth, knowing that she was about ready to make him burn, and by this point, that was alright with her. Her leg was already bent, and before she could really think about it, she had driven it into his torso, attempting to at least knock the wind out of him. She had to disable him as fast as possible so that she could at least figure out what the hell she was actually dealing with at this point.

With another feral snarl, the now-awakened Devil backed off, being forced to pull his claws out of the woman’s shoulder in an attempt to recover. It was at least worth it to see her bleed like this, though he supposed he might be paying for it later. No matter. “…so you’re the woman that’s been causing so much trouble around here lately.”

Hikari let out a small huff of air, smirking. “In comparison to you…I’ve been a fucking saint.” She straightened, letting her hand drop to her side. Her shoulder still stung, but that wasn’t the problem. Right now she just had to keep herself under control until she could get something done about this situation. That’s all that mattered.

“Hikari, what’s going on over there?!”

“…Don’t come up to the throne room, Lars. I’ve got some unfinished business to take care of.” And before he could protest any longer, she had already shut off the communicator. Alright, focus. Make one wrong move and you’re more than likely to get killed.

Devil Jin merely raised an eyebrow, smirking. It was that same goddamn look that Jin first gave her at the press conference, and just seeing it in this form made her want to punch him in the face; granted, that was fairly normal for her as of late, especially when dealing with the Mishima Zaibatsu CEO. “I could smell blood on you from a mile away, woman. Don’t preach to me.”

“I’m a former soldier, dipshit. Of course you’re gonna smell blood on me. And I just went through eight rounds of bullshit to knock your sorry ass out, so con-fucking-grats, you have figured out the obvious. Now why don’t you go lie down like a good boy, I’ve got better things to do with my time.” She could feel a vein throbbing in her temple, taking a deep breath to force the heat down. No point in causing more of a spectacle of it than necessary. Though it was looking more and more tempting as this situation unfolded. A few explosions would make her feel better, at least.

He chuckled, a low, throaty laugh that would’ve chilled most to the bone. “I’ve always liked that about you- you’re straight to the point and you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty. Too bad that most of the others at Fortuna weren’t like that, it would’ve made things a lot more interesting.”

The mention of her home caused Hikari to automatically tense, eyes narrowing. “What. I thought that attack was perpetrated by G Corp. We even have evidence pointing to them being responsible for the bombing-”

“The bombing was caused by Kazuya. But that wasn’t the only situation that happened while you were preparing. I do have to hand it to your President, however- he handled it better than I imagined. Or that silver-haired man… your top advisor, if I remember correctly? I should’ve known he would have military background like you.”

She could feel her entire body shaking, not with fear of what might’ve happened, the old man and Odyssius knew what the hell they were doing. But all the civilians, the people that didn’t have a way to defend themselves after a situation like this- “What did you do to them.” Her voice was low, growling, almost inhuman in and of itself as she clenched her fists, ignoring the fact that her nails were digging into the leather of the gloves.

His smirk only grew as he could practically feel the rage coming off her in waves. Or it might be that strange power that he felt from her, either way, the woman might actually prove to be somewhat entertaining. “Unfortunately, they both got away before I could have any real fun with them, but I’m sure that your silver-haired friend will be carrying a reminder of our encounter for the rest of his days.”

“…Odyssius.” She shut her eyes for a moment, allowing the heat and the fire to engulf her entire body, opening her eyes again. Her irises were glowing gold at this point, and a torrent of flame had erupted from her body before dissipating. The pressure and sheer heat from it lingered in the air as she spoke, gesturing to the demon. “Get over here, fucker. I’ll make sure you’re nothing but ashes when I’m finished with you.”

Anyway, so after looking around a bit, I've been taking notes about Ambassadors.

Why, you ask?

Because in the Tekken fic I've been working on, Hikari's technically an Ambassador to Fortuna (yes, I'm stealing the name from DMC4 for an imaginary country. Shut up.) So after some interesting searching around, it seems to make the most sense for her to be an Ambassador-at-large. More than likely for the U.N.

Posted here mostly for my own reference, but also just so everyone can realize how big of a geek I really can be. xD

Also, Eternity: Boomerang and Kenpachi's Excellent Adventure starts later this week. And I have no idea who to sponsor: Iori Yagami [KoF], Rock Howard [Garou], Sol Badguy reprisal [Guilty Gear], or the way out in left field option- Jin Kazama [Tekken].

Accoring to the SNK Wiki, Iori, Mai, and Kyo are supposed to be working together. Terry's a CIA agent. Kyo supposedly was put in a coma because Saisyu was under the influence of Orochi when he was younger.

Okay, I can possibly justify the first one- Kyo and Iori have been known to work together in the past- if they've had to, which this situation would count, I guess. And maybe the last one- Kyo was technically under Orochi's influence during KoF: Kyo for a short time, so I guess it's possible for Saisyu to as well. It's just wierd, though. Saisyu's pretty damn knowledgable about the Orochi, I doubt he'd let himself be overcome by weakness like that. Especially in front of his son.

But Terry as a CIA agent? ...sorry guys, I just can't see it.

Anyway, in other news- I have a bit to wait for Tekken 6 for PSP, HOWEVER. Thanks to some info that Nero's (souslalune ) given me, I'm at least heading in the right direction with Hikari wanting to kick the snot out of Jin for being a prick. B) I'm gonna have some fun with this.

Inspired by the 5+1 meme going around at dramadramaduck , I present a 5+1 based off the Tekken fanfic I'm working on.

Characters: Hikari Yoshima and Jin Kazama
Prompt: The five times that Jin pissed off Hikari and the one time she was grateful to him.
Rating: PG at worst. Hikari is obviously the more violent of the two. :x

1. The fact that he had backed her into a corner was bad enough, but the fact that he did it in front of the press is what really infuriated her. The two had never even met before, and yet Jin knew exactly how to push Hikari’s buttons. Just the fact that he knew that much about her made her want to punch something.

2. “Ma’am, we’ve found something in one of the soldiers’ armor.”

This worried her. A bomb? Tracking device of some sort? She frowned, following one of the techs to where they had dismantled the Tekken Force armor. He held up a piece of the armor, handing it over to the brunette. “...what is it?”

“A camera.”

Hikari could feel a vein in her temple throb as she glared down at the bugged piece of armor. “Not enough that you attack my people, but you watch it like some sick voyeur?” She clenched her fingers around the metal, ignoring that it cut into her skin as flames overtook the armor, melting it into an unrecognizable mess.

3. The flaming wreckage that was the transport plane cast strange shadows; Jin swore he could see Hikari’s eyes glowing. But it wasn’t really his problem- he had to make sure to keep certain things secret.

“Kazama. Get over here.”

He merely raised an eyebrow, stopping short of being next to the Ambassador-

-and was nearly knocked off his feet with the resulting punch from the brunette.

...maybe he pushed her too far.

4. “WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND STALKS SOMEONE WHILE THEY’RE PAYING RESPECTS TO THEIR DEAD SISTER!?”

5. She let out a chuckle as the others left, sliding her key card into the door, opening it-

-only to see a certain CEO sitting on her bed.

Hikari quietly shut the door, double-checking to see if she had the right room. She then opened the door again, seeing that Jin was still there, still sitting on her bed. She shut the door quietly behind her before turning to face him, her voice low and dangerous as she spoke. “Kazama, you have ten seconds to get the fuck out of my room before I launch you through a window. Starting nine seconds ago.”

+1. Another day, another couple rounds. Hikari let out a sigh as she unlocked the door, stepping into her room. Good, no surprise visitors this time. She shut the door behind her, slinging her jacket off before flopping onto the bed, arms spread. “...this is gonna be a long week,” she mumbled into the sheets. She just lay there, ignoring the ache in her muscles, bones, everything before a knock sounded at the door. She lifted her head up, glancing back with a sigh before pushing herself off the bed, striding toward the door.

When she opened it, there was nobody there, but an envelope. Frowning, Hikari picked it up, walking back into the room before opening it. There were several papers in there, investigative reports into the bombing that had happened the other day, from the looks of it. She scanned them, eyebrows raised slightly in surprise before she picked up a smaller piece of paper that had fallen out of the envelope as she shifted through the papers. It was a hand-written, unsigned note: “Use this against Kazuya. The evidence in these reports should be enough to back him into a corner.”

She smirked despite herself. “Guess he’s not as much of an ass as I thought...”

HEY. NERO. CHECK IT OUT. |D THE PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE BULLSHIT, WE CAN HAS IT.

The brunette let out a sigh, crossing and uncrossing her legs as she leaned her cheek against her fist, elbow propped on the armrest. In her honest opinion, the others were a bunch of idiots to just go along with what the Zaibatsu wanted. After all, Fortuna had been facing the same armies and forces for just as long, and they were actually winning. What their allies were doing wrong Hikari couldn’t figure out for the life of her. Then again, most armies didn’t have squads of Devil Hunters on their side.

“Now then, Miss Yoshima, the Ambassador to Fortuna, will take questions and make her own statement about the situation.”

Finally. She stood, thanking the Chairman before making her way to the podium, adjusting her gloves and jacket. “Hello everyone, I’m glad you all could make it. I know it’s becoming increasingly more and more dangerous for us to hold meetings like this when it’s wartime, but I assure you that we will get to the bottom of all this. Now, then, I’ll be taking questions from the audience... yes, you?”

“The Mishima Zaibatsu has become more dangerous every day. How is it that Fortuna is still standing in opposition, even after larger and supposedly more powerful nations have fallen?”

“I’m not sure, honestly. I suppose the best explanation I can give is that we haven’t had as many internal problems as some other nations. The Zaibatsu seem to be concentrated in breaking apart the governments from the inside.” That and most countries don’t have armies that could take out forces three times their size with sheer firepower alone. She let out a small sigh, her expression serious. “I know that a lot of people are already starting to give up and surrender in order to prevent casualties, and as much as some people would like to say that I would, I honestly can’t blame them. I want to prevent casualties as well. But...” She clenched both fists against the top of the podium, shutting her eyes, “Someone’s got to stand up to the Zaibatsu. Someone has to be the one that stands up and declares that what they’re doing is wrong.”

“Is that why you’re offering your troops as reinforcements in other countries as they fight against the Mishima Zaibatsu and its allies?”

“Yes, that’s correct. However, that does not mean that we are abandoning Fortuna. Some of our allies have offered their own aid and troops in exchange for ours. Think of it as a wartime trade pact,” she explained, gazing through the audience. She had their attention, thankfully. And with this whole thing being broadcast live, it would hope to serve as some sort of reassurance for the world at large- there was someone out there still fighting. “...I know the situation seems impossible, but with everyone’s cooperation, we can and will defeat them. And I for one am not going to back down until the Mishima Zaibatsu’s brought down and the people responsible are brought to justice.”

“You’ll be fighting a losing battle, then.” The voice that had piped up wasn’t coming from the audience, hell, it wasn’t even in English. Hikari and the others turned around to the screen that was being used to project so that the people in the back could see- and it currently showed the face of the one person who had definitely not been invited to this press conference- the CEO of the Mishima Zaibatsu himself, Jin Kazama.

“You really think so?” Hikari replied automatically, responding in her native tongue. “Because if the battles over the last few weeks are any indication, I’d say that it’s just the opposite that’s happening, Kazama.”

“Perhaps, but how long can you expect to continue like this, especially so spread out? Even you should realize that your men can’t last forever.”

“...maybe not, but you shouldn’t underestimate us.” By this point, Hikari’s golden eyes were narrowed before she turned back to the audience, who were busy gawping at how Jin had somehow hacked the system. “....apologies, everyone. I didn’t think that we were being spied on by the enemy,” she growled slightly at the last part, glaring back without turning her head. Pain in the ass, really.

Jin let out a soft chuckle. So much for the Ambassador’s calm front. He had expected something like this to happen. Now to raise the stakes a bit. “I never said I was underestimating you, only that you can’t keep fighting forever. Nobody can.” He paused, thinking about it for a moment before finally speaking again. “Actually, I was wondering something.”

“...what.”

“How about we place a little wager. You join the King of Iron Fist Tournament, and if you make it to the finals, I’ll withdraw all military operations from Fortuna and its allies.”

Her eyes widened, hesitating for only a moment before she replied, “...and if I don’t or I refuse?” Anyone that knew her knew that particular kind of hesitation meant that she already knew what the answer was going to be, but it was better to be safe than sorry in this case.

“If you don’t make it, Fortuna has to surrender to the Mishima Zaibatsu. And if you decide to skip out...let’s just say that your island is going to have a bit of environmental renovation done.”

Hikari’s breath hitched in her throat. No, he couldn’t mean what she thought he did- could he? She slowly turned, a deep scowl etched onto her features. “...you wouldn’t dare.” No, she wasn’t going to let that cocky little-

“I wouldn’t? Consider what I’ve done to other nations, Miss Yoshima. Fortuna has gotten off lucky so far. I don’t expect that lucky streak to last much longer.”

“So you say. Fine.” She knew what that meant, and as much as she didn’t want to, she’d have to say it in front of the press, lest they find out in another, less dignified way. “...for those of you that are not able to translate what Mr. Kazama and I are discussing, it seems he has extended an invitation for me to come and fight in the King of Iron Fist Tournament. However, it is not simply for pleasure, it seems he wants to stake Fortuna’s position in the war on this. So, as to not seem rude, I wholeheartedly accept his proposal, and will be officially joining the Tournament.”

The flashbulbs and background noise was almost deafening in comparison to the silence that had occurred when she spoke to the audience. Little does he know what he’s gotten himself into now. A small smirk crept on Hikari’s lips despite the fact that she was trying to stay serious, and she turned, looking up at the screen. Jin was wearing a similar expression, although his smirk was more of one that appeared when a hungry predator was satisfied in comparison to her amusement. “One week, Kazama.”

“One week. Don’t disappoint.” One last chuckle, and the screen blacked out.

....um. I dunno? I kinda don't really "feel" close to any of them, but I guess Lii'd be my best shot, since she was originally supposed to be based off me, then diverted into her own character.

Do you believe they're real?
Honestly I wish they were. At least a couple of them. Because who wouldn't wish that at least one of their muses were real?

Are any of them dating each other?

Have any of them ever been killed?
K', Hakkai and Sol have been metaphorically "killed" (they ditched an old identity of theirs in favor of the current), but all of them have been in near-death situations more times than they would like to say.

Oh, and Jin was technically killed by Heihachi in Tekken 3. THANKS, GRANDPA. But then he went Devil and that made everything better.

Rock Howard!

What do they do for a living?
He's a student. In DDD canon, he worked for his uncle, Kain, until recent events concerning a certain vengeful spirit caused him to find out the truth and get fired. Now he's living in Zankarkand with Tidus, being a bum. :|b

What do they dress like?
Fairly casually! He likes jackets, t-shirts, sweatshirts, jeans, anything comfortable, really. He also has a penchant for wearing driving gloves.

Who is their best friend?
Canonically? Terry or one of the Kim brothers. At DDD, it's between Ichigo and Tidus.

How would they respond to abuse?
If it were from Terry or his friends, he'd jokingly punch them or something. A girl might get him blushing and going 'wtf' at them, but anyone else would make him strike back. :|

Do they have any nicknames?
Shuyin and Shirosaki like calling him "Rocky" just to piss him off. And Terry calls him "Rookie" quite a bit.

Physically, Sol looks to be in his 20's. In reality, however, he's been alive for almost 200 years.

Asexual with heterosexual tendencies. Although in DDD, that's slowly changing to heterosexuality because of Trish. :>

Any special powers?
Sol is a master of fire magic, and also has increased speed, stamina, and strength due to the experiments done on him. He has a Gear form, which is basically his real, true form, since the headband he wears acts as a limiter.

What religion are they?
None. He believes in God. Kinda. He's got a thing against religion, mostly because of everything that's happened to him.

Do they get ridiculed?
Not usually, actually. Most people know to leave him alone. He's had a few instances at DDD where he's been teased, but he just blows it off. Also, in Wayward, Zack made fun of his name, which was the beginning of their epic friendship. (Trufax. Just ask Puel.)

What species are they?
Gear. Basically he used to be human, but now he's some weird hybrid- kinda like a man-made demon. :| S'hard to explain.

Canonically, he's got more aquaintances than actual friends, although he gets along with a decent portion of the cast. At DDD, he's friends with Dante, Trish, Cross and Elphalba.

Canonically? No. At DDD, he was really close with both Minako and Raging Raven, but he felt more of an attraction toward the latter.

That's easy. He'd disarm the punkass within five seconds. Or use Blackout to get away. K' was trained to be a soldier, he knows his way around guns.

Nope, he's an ordinary human.

Not anyone super-close, but he has seen a lot of good people die canonically. :<

Leon really doesn't watch much TV, but he would be the type to like crime shows, maybe some light-hearted comedies to put him at ease.

Technically China. Shangri-La is what we know it as in the manga.

...I'm not sure if he does or not. Hakkai honestly doesn't think of things like that most of the time, t' be honest.

How often do they sleep?
Normal amounts, unless they need him to keep watch or something.

Do they daydream?
Once in a great while, Hakkai's probably one of the more focused members of the Ikkou.

What is their sexuality?
Presumed heterosexual because of his relationship with Kanan, but it's debatable if he's bi. With the way that Saiyuki is, it could be very likely for him to be bisexual. (He was in DDD canon. |Da)

Hakkai's the caretaker for the Ikkou- he does a lot of the cooking, but he also likes to read in his spare time.

Do they like being outdoors?
Yes, she does, she originally lived in the country. :3

What's their personality like?
She's a nice person, kinda quiet, extremely laid-back, and loves to banter with people. She's got a stubborn streak a mile wide, and a huge hero complex, too. Lii also has an incredible temper- piss her off and you'll immediately regret it.

Do they hate anyone?
Yes, she does. She hates Kresoveer (the big bad of the original RP she's in) with a passion, as well as the other members of the Patrons of the Crusade. The only exception is her brother, Jake. And even then, he's treading on thin ice.

Do they have a crush? Who?
No crushes, she's got a boyfriend, though! She and Plas have been dating since the events of ZERO, but things haven't been going over well since they have hardly seen each other for a long time.

Are they intelligent?
Despite her reckless and impulsive nature, Lii is actually extremely intelligent. She just doesn't get many opportunities to show it because she's in combat a lot of the time.
